What is SubPassport?
Subcontractors keep their paperwork (COI, license, W-9, lien waivers, 1099) in one live profile, their “passport,” and share it with the contractors they work for. Contractors see green, yellow, or red for every sub before anyone steps on the job.
How do I share my passport with a contractor?
Sign in as a sub and open your passport. Copy your passport link and send it to the contractor however you like: text, email, or a message app. When they open it, they can add you to their dashboard and always see your current documents.
How do I add a sub to my dashboard?
Ask the sub for their SubPassport link. Open it while signed in to your contractor account and tap to add them. Their documents and status update automatically when they upload new ones.
How do expiration reminders work?
- Green means current, yellow means it expires within 30 days, red means it has expired.
- We email the sub, and every contractor they share with, about 30, 14 and 3 days before a document expires, on every plan, free included.
- Contractors can ask a sub for a missing or renewed document right from their dashboard.
How do I update or remove a document?
Open your passport, upload the new version, and check the dates we read from it. You can delete any document from your passport at any time.
I forgot my password or can't sign in
On the sign-in page, enter your email and choose “Email me a sign-in link.” If that doesn't work, email hello@subpassport.com from the address on your account.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings and use “Delete account,” or see how to delete your account and data. Deleting your account removes your profile and documents.
