SubPassport vs Jobber

Jobber is a mature field-service platform for scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and getting paid. SubPassport is built for subcontractor compliance and a homeowner Project Passport on multi-day jobs. Many painting and remodel contractors will want both—not a forced switch.

Honest take: If you need route optimization, “on my way” texts, and a polished Client Hub for appointments, Jobber is ahead. If you need green/yellow/red COI tracking for subs plus a remodel-style homeowner portal, that’s SubPassport’s job.

  • Planned ACH at 0.5% vs Jobber’s published 1%

Use both

Keep Jobber for the office calendar, quotes, and invoices. Use SubPassport so every sub stays green and the homeowner gets a living project portal—not just a payment link. Contractors can connect Jobber in Settings and import jobs and clients into Project Passport (read-only—no emails or texts are sent, and nothing is written back to Jobber).
